GENERAL
Please read these terms & conditions carefully and sign your acceptance of them using the booking terms acceptance form at the bottom of the page. You can also scan and email or print out and post back a signed copy. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if there is anything unclear.

BOOKING & BOOKING DEPOSIT
By placing a booking for the Blue Cabin you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. During your stay you agree to abide by these conditions. If you have any questions please contact us before making a booking.
To make a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 18 years of age. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages.
To secure the booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance. This is a third of total fee. The remaining balance will be required at least one month prior to guests’ arrival. Deposits are only refundable as set-out.
Payments can be made by bank transfer or cheque in GBP. Any charges raised against us by our banks for bank transfers must be reimbursed by the lead. Our Bank details are Hampden & Co, Account No 11011133. Sort Code 83-91-55 or postal address is c/o 17 Victoria Terrace, EDINBURGH EH1 2JL.
USE OF THE BLUE CABIN
The maximum number of guests staying in the Blue Cabin is 4. If guests invite visitors, they must not be a large group, stay the night or camp; the Cabin is not suitable for such use. Parties and gatherings within property and on the beach are strictly not permitted. The Blue Cabin has limited facilities and is NOT to be used in conjunction with any other properties in the area. All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of neighbours and the owners at all times.
We reserve the right to cancel a booking if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance/nuisance to neighbours or the owners.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in is from 4 pm
Check-out by: 10 am
Other times of departure by special arrangement.
Car access is permitted, with your own insurance, for unloading and loading, only. Parking is in the public car park. The harbour is a working harbour and the track must not be blocked at any time. There is a turning space 30 yards beyond the tunnel mouth which can be used for temporary parking whilst moving your belongings to the Cabin. Do not attempt to turn at the tunnel mouth.
CANCELLATION, CHANGE OF BOOKING, INSURANCE & NON-ARRIVAL
If you wish to change or cancel your booking please let us know as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. We understand there may be unforeseen circumstances affecting your booking and we are happy to work with you in finding best solution.
You must have appropriate insurance for your holiday, accidents in the Cabin or at Cove Harbour, health, belongings, cancellation, etc..
Please note deposit is non-refundable. This includes payments made in full where the deposit value will be deducted (deposit is a third of total fee).
Non-arrival forfeits payment in full.
In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.
DAMAGES & LOST PROPERTY
We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a significant replacement charge.
Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. We will make our best efforts to return lost property but accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before leaving. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the lead guest, otherwise collection can be arranged.
SECURITY
Please leave the front door securely locked when you are out. On final departure, please leave the windows on ‘ventilation mode, ie. with one notch open and close the shutters. Please leave the keys in the same box on departure and scramble the numbers. Please do not take any of the keys off the key-ring or lend them to others.
WiFi FAIR & APPROPRIATE USAGE POLICY
WiFi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use access to the Internet fairly and appropriately.
The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.
YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS & PRIVACY
Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through our website/or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy. This includes information kept for Covid-19 purposes.
You accept that any entries you put in the Guest Book will not contain personal information or details you would not want disclosed. Any entries containing personal details that may fall into the GDPR may be removed and destroyed.
PUBLICITY AND PHOTOGRAPHY
For the sake of minimising pressure on the harbour, please avoid putting photos/videos of it on the web or social media in a way that might attract attention. The commercial rights for filming or photography etc. belong to Cove Harbour Conservation Ltd.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted. As well as cigarettes this includes, pipes, cigars, e-cigarettes or chewing tobacco.
DOGS & PETS
Please specify at the time of booking if you intend to bring your dog. We allow small, well behaved dogs and only one dog is allowed per booking. Registered guide and hearing dogs belonging to those with visual and hearing impairments stay without charge.
For your pet’s safety we ask that dogs and their owners follow a few simple rules :
- Dogs must always be properly controlled and supervised.
2. Dogs must not be left unattended in the Cabin.
3. Dogs are not permitted on furniture including beds. We ask owners to bring dog’s bedding and towels.
4. Guests are asked to clean up after dogs, both inside and outside of the property.
5. We ask for any damage to the Cabin, inside and outside, to be reported as soon as possible. This is in order to keep the Cabin in the highest condition for all our guests.
OUR RIGHT TO CANCELLATION
We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.
