Parking is in the public car park at the head of the track.

Parking is not allowed at the harbour but access for unloading and loading at the head of the tunnel is fine and temporary parking whilst unpacking is permitted in the area lower down the track. Please never block the track as it is in 24 hour use by the fishermen; do not park or attempt to turn at the head of the tunnel.

Regrettably the Blue Cabin is unsuitable for people with accessibility issues due to the rough ground, sandy beach, uneven steps, narrow doors and some constricted spaces.

A reasonable use of electricity for the Cabin’s storage heaters is included, some coal and some wood is provided for the stove. Extra supplies are in the shed, but guests are asked to sensible in their use of fuel. If you wish to use the Barbecue please bring your own charcoal.

Yes, we have good fibreoptic Wi-Fi at the Blue Cabin and the living room has a Smart TV if movie night is on the cards.

We suggest that you bring as much as you need with you. We provide a barrow to help you transport your belongings to the Cabin. Cockburnspath has a good community shop open 7 days. For longer stays, there are some good local stores in nearby Dunbar, Eyemouth and Berwick.

Yes, depending on the weather. We are able to put you in contact with local fisherman who will supply you with fresh catch at market price. However, you could also give catching your own a try.
